Two Road Trips in One Week!

If you read our earlier postings about the car drama we had when we picked
up Toby, you've probably been wondering what happened since then. We're
happy to say that my car was fixed on Monday, in Virginia, and it was a LOT
less expensive than we had feared. However, we still needed to make the 4
hour drive to pick it up and another 4 hours to drive back! It didn't make
any sense to take time off work to get it, so we had another Saturday Road
Trip!

Of course we brought our fluffy baby along for another trip. I wonder if
he thought we were taking him back since we were only about an hour away
from his original home?! :) He was even better on this trip than when we
picked him up. He slept most of the time and sat on the back seat just
watching us in the front seat and watch what was going on outside. He
ventured over to Craig during part of the trip and sniffed around. It'll
be fun when he wants to stick his nose out the window during car trips like
Mindy did! :)

As usual, Toby was a big hit when we came upon strangers. All of the rest
areas we stopped at were filled with people saying how cute he is and
wanting to pet him. His tail was wagging a mile a minute. :) When they'd
all ask what kind of dog he is, they all had that blank look on their face
when we said, "Havanese". I swear...NO ONE has heard of a Havanese! ha
ha! Maybe we're trend setters... Anyway, the weather wasn't the best
during our trip, and some of Toby's potty breaks were in the rain, but we
did get a couple cute shots of him at a scenic overlook in the mountains.
